The Philosophy
Flag Beach Watersports has been operating on the north shore of Fuerteventura since 1988, making it one of the most established watersports centres on the Canary Islands. Kitesurfing instruction began here in 1999. Located in Corralejo, the school benefits from consistently strong Atlantic trade winds and is the only VDWS-certified centre in the north of the island. Instructors are both IKO and VDWS certified and teach in six languages. Lessons are kept small — 4 students per instructor on the beach, 2 per instructor in the water — and boat-based sessions are also available. Packages include accommodation options ranging from a budget surf hostel to self-catering apartments.
