The Philosophy
Kite Centre Zanzibar has been operating on Paje Beach since 2006 and is consistently regarded as one of the premier kite schools on the island. The spot features a reef-protected lagoon with a sandy floor, shallow water for beginners, and flat conditions for freestyle. The reef itself, 1.5km offshore, offers world-class wave riding. Two distinct trade wind seasons — the Kusi (SE, June–October) and Kaskasi (NE, December–February) — mean Zanzibar offers consistent conditions across much of the year. IKO-certified instruction, Duotone equipment, and a beach chill-out area are all on site.
