Sri Lanka's most established kite camp, set on 8 beachfront acres with direct lagoon access and two annual wind seasons.
The Philosophy
Founded in 2010 by Dilsiri Welikala — Sri Lanka's first local kite instructor — and French co-founder Léo Moret, Kitesurfing Lanka was among the first kite camps in Kalpitiya. Set on 8 acres of beachfront with direct access to the protected lagoon and the open ocean, the camp caters to all levels. Kalpitiya offers two distinct seasons: the summer season (mid-May to mid-October) with strong SW winds averaging 18–20 knots, and the winter season (mid-December to mid-March) with lighter NW winds. IKO-certified instruction, downwinder trips to Vella Island, diving, dolphin watching, and bungalow accommodation round out the offering.
